Program Overview

The Intentional Teas Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month immersive experience designed for individuals passionate about herbalism, wellness, and sustainable business practices. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience in herbal tea formulation, ingredient sourcing, business operations, marketing, and customer engagement.

Program Structure

Phase 1: Herbal Foundations & Sustainable Sourcing (Months 1-3)

* Introduction to herbalism and holistic wellness
* Understanding functional teas and their impact on health
* Basics of sustainable farming and ethical ingredient sourcing
* Hands-on experience in growing, harvesting, and drying herbs
* Visit to local herb farms or virtual lessons with experts

Phase 2: Tea Blending & Product Development (Months 4-6)

* Fundamentals of tea blending techniques
* Creating signature blends with a focus on functionality
* Understanding flavor profiling and pairing herbs for taste and benefits
* Compliance with FDA regulations and herbal safety guidelines
* Experimenting with seasonal blends

Phase 3: Business Operations & E-Commerce (Months 7-9)

* Behind-the-scenes of running a tea business
* Managing inventory, suppliers, and production
* Introduction to pricing strategies and cost analysis
* Setting up an e-commerce platform and selling online
* Customer service and engagement strategies

Phase 4: Marketing, Branding & Community Engagement (Months 10-12)

* Building a strong brand identity and storytelling
* Social media marketing strategies for herbal businesses
* Content creation for "The Herbal Nurse" newsletter & blog
* Hosting tea tastings, workshops, and live events
* Final capstone project– each apprentice creates and markets their own blend

Application Process

* Submit an application with a short statement of interest
* Participate in an interview to ensure alignment with program goals
* Open to two apprentices per year to ensure personalized training
