Wounded Nurses Fund

The Wounded Nurses Fund supports nurses who have been injured in the line of duty and honors those who have fallen. Nurses are frontline healthcare providers who dedicate their lives to caring for others and often at great personal cost. The physical, emotional, and mental demands of the profession are immense, yet support systems for nurses who are injured or unable to continue their work remain limited.

We recognize a critical gap. While nurses are essential first responders within our healthcare system, they frequently lack the same level of structured support afforded to other first responders and military personnel. Beyond financial hardship, an injury can mean the loss of identity, purpose, and community. A devastating reality for those whose lives have been defined by service and care.

The Wounded Nurses Fund is a community-driven initiative designed to provide meaningful support to nurses facing physical, emotional, and professional challenges. Our mission extends beyond financial assistance. We aim to restore dignity, provide resources, and foster a sense of belonging for nurses navigating life after injury or loss.

At the heart of this effort is the belief that “it takes a village to care for a village.” By coming together, individuals and businesses can help build a network of support that reflects the compassion nurses show every day in their work.
